can I come alone?
absolutely — many of our guests arrive on their own and the retreat becomes a space to meet like-minded souls, form genuine connections and share in the experience together. at the same time, it offers room to turn inward and honour solitude, allowing the journey to unfold in the way that feels most honest.
how do I get to the villa?
the easiest way to arrive is by taxi if you’re coming from Colombo international airport or traveling a longer distance. if you’re staying nearby, hopping in a tuk-tuk is a fun and simple option.
we’ll add you to a whatsapp group prior to the retreat, where we’ll share reliable taxi and tuk-tuk contacts and give you the option to share your transfer with other guests.

do I need a yoga mat?
we’ll have everything you need at the shala — it is fully equipped with mats, blocks, bolsters and more. of course, if you wish to bring your own, you are more than welcome to.
what time is check-in / check-out?
check-in: 4pm
check-out: 10am
do I need travel insurance?
travel insurance is not included. we strongly recommend getting travel insurance that appropriately covers your whole trip incase of issues relating to flights, cancellations, illness, injuries or accidents.
do I need a visa to enter sri lanka?
yes — you can either purchase this on arrival at the airport or get it online before arriving following this link.
how does the payment work?
you are required to confirm your space on the retreat by paying a non-refundable, non-transferable £400 payment via the booking page. £400 will be deducted from your full room rate and the remaining balance is to be paid via bank transfer.
payment plans are available, as long as:
— 50% is made by 12 January 2026
— 100% is made by 11 February 2026
what payment plans do you offer?
we understand that retreats can feel like a financial investment, so hopefully a payment plan can help spread the costs. we offer either 3 or 4-instalment plans, each instalment to be paid on the 5th.
Here’s an example for a £1,200pp room rate:
3-instalment Plan:
5 Sep 2025: £400 non-refundable deposit
5 Dec 2025: £400 (by this point, you’ll have paid £800 which is over 50% of the room rate before 12 Jan 2026)
5 Feb 2026: £400 (total = £1,200)
4-instalment Plan:
5 Sep 2025: £400 deposit
5 Nov 2025: £300
5 Jan 2026: £300
5 Feb 2026: £200 (total = £1,200)
the only conditions are:
50% of the full room rate must be paid by 12 Jan 2026 (90 days before the retreat)
100% of the full room rate must be paid by 11 Feb 2026 (60 days before the retreat)
if I decide to cancel my trip, will I get a refund?
a deposit is required to confirm your space and room on the retreat — please note, this is a non-refundable, non-transferable £400 payment. the remaining balance after deposit is 100% refundable if cancelled before 11th February 2026 - please see full terms + conditions
please make sure you have travel insurance that covers you if you decide to cancel.
