we first crossed paths as children, back in 2006. Over the years, our lives unfolded along different journeys, yet we were both ultimately guided into the shared world of yoga. We each bring our own approach to this vast practice and through our unique lenses, we’ve come together to create a rich and multifaceted offering on this special Sri Lankan retreat.

our combined teachings span across vinyasa, yin, sound, katonah, forrest, meditation and breathwork, alongside thoughtfully curated workshops sprinkled throughout the days, designed to unlock potent creativity and deeper connection.

as lifelong friends, we carry a bond that naturally infuses this retreat with warmth, authenticity and a uniquely inviting space — one where we hope you feel held, inspired and right at home.

mai first experienced yoga as a teenager, which gradually unravelled into something much more meaningful into her adult life. Over the years, she has explored the practice in many forms, following her curiosity through different styles and angles of the practice. What has remained constant is her desire to guide people back to a place of connection — to themselves, to their bodies and to the stillness that often gets lost in the pace of modern life.

her classes are designed as an up-and-down journey, balancing moments of rest and stillness with challenges that invigorate both the body and mind. Mai creates a space where participants feel supported and held, while gently being encouraged to move beyond restrictive patterns, uncovering new strength, awareness and unlocking potential along the way.

beyond the mat, Mai’s love of creativity shapes everything she does. As a ceramicist, she finds inspiration in the process of making — a reminder that presence is one of the most  potent tools we can grasp onto to live more intentionally.

with 9 years of teaching experience and over 500 hours of training across a range of practices, tamara is currently travelling the world. she spent several months in Sri Lanka, where she deeply connected with the land while exploring sound healing and conscious connected breathwork. Her time there sparked a love for the island’s rhythms and energy — an inspiration that became the heart of this retreat, inviting others to move, breathe and reconnect fully in this magical place.

tamara first came to yoga over 15 years ago, and what began as a physical practice soon grew into a way of living that continues to shape how she sees and moves through the world. Yoga has been a steady thread through times of change and travels, guiding her toward a deeper sense of presence, resilience and connection.

in her classes, tamara blends alignment with freedom, structure with spontaneity. practices are playful yet grounding, offering space to explore strength, softness, and release. she creates a warm, inclusive environment where everyone is invited to move authentically, reconnect with themselves and enjoy the simple joy of movement.
